Fabulous Floral Prints

Summer is in bloom and this year, your wardrobe should be, too. We've waited far too long for summer not to be excited about fresh colours and blooming prints. From Prada to Marc Jacobs, the fashion industry is loving floral for this summer. With sweet roses and orchids, florals are destined to bring out your inner girly girl. Floral mini dresses are absolutely fabulous because they combine two of this season's hottest trends with a hint of feminine flare.

The beauty of it all? We can keep up with the latest trend and still maintain our own style because floral patterns are so diverse and unique. And floral prints mean you don't really need to accessorize. Don't worry, the print does it all.

Boy Meets Girl

Who'd have thought classic boy-cut pants and vests could look so sexy chic? Step aside boys; it's time for the femme fatale to strut her stuff.

This spring, designers like Karl Lagerfeld and Helmut Lang hit the runways with edgy yet glamorous two-piece suits. Inspired by classic looks and styles, this season's boy-meets-girl fashion phenomenon combines office-chic with sexy feminine allure. Form-fitted blazers, checkered prints and slim-fit vests paired up with narrow skirts and pants create an elegant and sexy look.

This season is all about taking traditional styles and adding some sizzle and spice, so think wide waist belts, peep-toe shoes and sleek clutches to give your suit that ultra-feminine flare.

The Return of the Pomper

Sexy and cute rompers are making a comeback so get ready to show off your tanned legs this summer in a must-have one-piece.

The fashion industry has traveled back in time to bring us one of this season's hottest items. This summer designers want to see some bare skin. With short rompers, all we see are legs, legs and more legs. Not only is it an incentive to keep ourselves in shape this summer, but it's a fabulous opportunity to show off that long-awaited sun-kissed glow. Pair a romper up with flip-flops for a casual summertime look.

The best thing about the one piece is that is begs for some accessorizing. Throw on a long, chunky necklace or some adorable hair clips for the casual, cute style you want. And, if you're daring enough, paint the town red with a sexy romper and some flashy wedges. Don't forget to lightly accessorize with large shades or one of this season's must-have cuff bracelets

Tribal Style

Strut your ethnic flair with exotic looks inspired by Africa and beyond.

Tribal looks ruled the runways this season when masterful designs from Diane Von Furstenberg and Cavalli blasted the audience with a cool air of global warming. Big, brave ikat and batik patterns in rainbow palettes or earthy black and white were key players in this sexy scene straight out of Africa. Don't be afraid to mix and mix again.

Have fun with airy, free-flowing fabrics and peacock feathers! To make your earthy outfit an urban winner, reach for chunky wooden bangles and platform shoes.

Hippie Chic

It's 1969 all over again. Channel your inner boho for lazy, hazy summer style.

This season spread some peace, love and rock ‘n' roll with flirty, low-waisted bellbottoms, macrame-inspired leathers, oversized shades and lots of fringe, fringe and more fringe! We may laugh and snicker at all those old pictures of our parents in the sixties, but we all know that deep, down inside, we wished they held on to all those funky outfits! (Mom, where are those embroidered platform sandals?)

But not to worry, all our fave designers have brought back this look in updated cuts that actually flatter our figures – no more potato sack silhouettes.

Sheer Style

Spring's breeziest look is all about sheer appeal. The season's transparent styles lend a vaporous character that is nothing short of breathtaking.

Designers at the centre of the sheer look are Max Azaria, Marc Jacobs and Jil Sander, and anyone who saw Natalie Portman looking sublimely fairylike at the Berlin premiere of The Other Boleyn Girl know that even celebs are falling for filmy fashions. If you're looking to adopt this look, be prepared to show a little skin: one look at the style's peek-a-boo panels and cloudy layers shows that it's all about not being a blushing Betty.

To make it work for you, go for broke: bare arms and legs under a wisp of something gossamer are good for a free, playful allure. Pair with some bangles or a cool medallion and a pair of summery heels for the season's It look.

Neon Bible

The spring/summer fashion colour palette is all about brighter-than-bright shades.

Look out, 'cuz women's fashions are getting bright -- Verrry bright. Neon is back in style, and it's everywhere.

This season's palette takes a softer approach that you might expect: fuchsia pinks, chartreuse greens and punchy yellows take centre stage, pushing the garish hues of last decade's neon craze into the background. The designers to look for are Versace, Lanvin, Yves St-Laurent and (believe it or not) Ralph Lauren. Want to take a walk on the bright side? The best way is to keep it simple: clean lines and one-pieces are key, as is contrast. And for contrast, complementary colours are good, but black is your best friend. Bright yellow mini-dress? Pair with some strappy kicks. Green trench? Wear it over a dramatic black ensemble. And for the best effect, accessorize lightly

Sporty Chic

The sporty look à l'Américaine is sweeping the land.

You don't need a house in the Hamptons to rock the prep style. This all-American look was born on the tennis courts of the mid-20th century, making it the height of US society style.

The look was popularized by big-name labels like Ralph Lauren, Lacoste and Tommy Hilfiger -- and explodes on the scene this spring. Crisp white accented with hints of colour, comfy fabrics and clean lines are the hallmarks of this look.

Safari Style

Earth tones and airy cuts mark this season's most adventurous styles.

The multi-pocketed safari look emerged at the turn of the 20th century, worn by western adventurers in Africa. Nowadays, the look can be seen prowling the catwalks and streets updated with sharper, modern lines and stylish detailing.

The way to wear the safari style is to keep it classy: don't go overboard on the accessories. Rather, opt for a chic watch and shoes in brown or black leather, and maybe a simple choker or a short chain with a single large medallion. A great pair of shades and the right hat completes the look.

Tropical-Inspired Colours

Grey gives way to bright, bold hues in the season's hottest trend. Kick the doldrums into next season, because colour is back in fashion -- and it's better than ever.

For summer, runways exploded with bright, citrus hues as the trend in women's fashion switches gears. "Goodbye, gloomy grey!" and "Hello, tropical sunshine!" If you see this season's revival of colour as a breath of fresh air, then you'll love what the big names like Jil Sander, Michael Kors, Yves St Laurent, Lanvin and Alberta Ferretti are doing with it.

Look for stripes or big slabs of yellow, orange and green. Ready to get fabulous? This look is all about not looking severe, so let your hair down and go for sun-drenched exuberance. Accessorize freely with strappy sandals, a chunky chain or big sunglasses and one of the season's It bags.

The Nautical Look

It's the return of sailor chic. Think lots of stripes, anchors and navel-inspired prints. On the NYC runways, spring style is all about red, white and navy. This yacht-club inspired look is preppy and neat.

Fashion giants like Tommy Hilfiger, Betsey Johnson and Marc by Marc Jacobs are bringing dockside chic back, and we're not talking about sailors' knots and anchors; we're talking about nautical stripes and dots, block colours, patterns, high hemlines and bare arms. We're also seeing lots of double-breasted jackets and chinos.

The best way to let your inner mariner out is pick one colour as a base to build on -- like pairing a blue top with a patterned skirt -- and accessorize with a clutch or smaller handbag and some cool shades. Wearing frills? Keep the accessories light and pair with a fabulous pair of shoes.

Trendy Trench Coats

From film-noir mystique to paint box hues, the old-school trench is young again. Made famous by Hollywood stars like Bogart and Audrey Hepburn, the trench coat dates back to the First World War, where it first appeared on British officers.

This summer the perennial fave was spotted everywhere – but with a modern makeover. Fun colours that pop, playful detailing and even risqué transparency give this old standby a bright new look. Just leave the slacks and pumps to the leading ladies of yore. To make today's trench work for you, accessorize with a classy clutch, and pair it with a mini and show a little skin with bare legs and covered or peep-toe platforms.

The Boudoir Look

From the ladies' private rooms of centuries past to the women's dressing-room looks of the '50s, the boudoir look is back with a vengeance.

This season, designers take it to the next level—and out on the street, with sidewalk styles ranging from kittenish Lolita looks to pretty P.J.s - with a hint of burlesque tossed in for good measure. On the satiny side, make the flowy lines of this season's "lingerie" work by matching it with a soft crescent bag or wristlet. For a more pyjama-based outfit, pair it with flats and a loose, flowing coat or cardi.
