Thank You to everyone who participated in Fabricana's Baby Quilt Event. The event, which took place over May and June this year, was a two part event, the first being a Baby Quilt Challenge. Many beautiful and varied quilts were generously donated by Fabricana's customers and staff alike. After a month of public voting, the following prizes were awarded. Each of the winners selected which of the local quilt guilds would benefit from their prizes.

1st Prize Coquitlam – Leng Yip
Leng chose the Fraser Valley Quilter’s Guild as recipient of the $200.00 prize

2nd Prize Coquitlam – Leng Yip
Leng chose the Fraser Valley Quilter’s Guild as recipient of the $100.00 prize

3rd Prize Coquitlam – Judy Pollock
Judy chose the Blue Mountain Quilter’s Guild as recipient of the $50.00 prize

1st Prize Richmond – Jean Jones
Jean chose the Langley Quilter’s Guild as recipient of the $200.00 Award

2nd Prize Richmond – Bonnie Hwang
Bonnie chose the Textile Arts Guild of Richmond as recipient of the $100.00 prize

3rd Prize Richmond – A tie between Anne Davis and Jasmine Ting
Anne chose the B.C. Children’s Hospital as recipient of the $25.00 prize
Jasmine chose the Vancouver Quilter’s Guild as recipient of the $25.00 prize

The second part of the Baby Quilt Event was a Silent Auction of the donated quilts. All proceeds from the Silent Auction were donated to B.C. Children's Hospital and we are proud to say that, with the generous support of customers and staff, we raised about $1,100.00 for this excellent and worthy cause.

Thanks again to all who participated in this event that benefited the B.C. Children's Hospital and helped promote the art of quilting by supporting our local quilt guilds.
