If you’re like me, you have a big collection of Christmas printed cottons in your fabric stash. If not, get to your local Fabricana a.s.a.p.! The first three projects shown below are perfect to help use up those fabrics while creating super-cute Christmas ornaments. These ornaments make great host/hostess gifts and fit perfectly into a greeting card! The fourth idea is a great project to use up any pieces of fleece you may have. Again, if you don’t have fleece on hand, you’ll find a great selection here at Fabricana.
1. Folded Fabric Star Ornament
I’ve tested this project personally and love it. I also love that there’s no sewing involved, so I’ve recommended it to friends who don’t sew. I ALSO love that it’s totally customizable. Since it uses up to four different fabrics, you can let your imagination run wild creating unique combinations. Did I mention that I LOVE it?

2. Folded Christmas Ornament
Another great gift idea that is totally customizable. The instructions are great - I love how they use a pot-lid to create a perfect circle! The machine sewing is minimal and quite simple - the magic happens in the folding!

3. Christmas Tree Ornament
If you’re not into stars, maybe this adorable tree ornament will catch your eye. Again, we’re cutting circles, but this time it’s just ONE fabric, so be sure to choose something festive! I like how the contrast topstitching accentuates the shape. Hint: A decorative topstitch will help create the illusion of a garland!

4. Fleece Scarf
And now for something completely different! There’s no sewing involved in creating this adorable, cozy scarf. Just cut the shapes as indicated and weave them together. The optional fringe is a cute way to finish it. The photo shows nice bright colours, but you could customize it a million different ways. I can picture this in red and black Buffalo check, OR pastels mixed with grey and ivory, OR rich jewel tones, OR you could mix in polka dots and stripes, OR… I think I need to sit down.
