Row by Row Appliqué Step-by-Step: Rabbit

Since all of our row by row patterns have appliqués, we decided to do some quick posts with step-by-step photos of placement for reference.

For tips on tracing and cutting out your appliqué pieces, see our video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u0CrWrnbz5k.

Note: this video was done on a more complicated appliqué but the steps for tracing and cutting our the applique still apply.

Once your appliqué pieces are all cut out, you can work on placement of your pieces. You may want to use a press cloth to avoid getting glue on your iron.

1. Piece one creates two of the legs and the ear. Place this piece as you would like with the legs over top of the arrow. Press.

2. Next is the placement of piece 2 to create the tail. Press tail in place.

3. Last is the placement of piece 3 which adds the face, second ear and other two legs. Press in place.

Optional steps:

In order to secure your applique pieces to your block, it's not a bad idea to stitch around your rabbit to secure.

You can also stitch whiskers on by hand using embroidery floss if you wish.

Stay tuned for more step-by-step posts about the other 5 appliqués from our two store location's  Row by Row patterns.

Happy Sewing!
