Here at Fabricana our staff have a wide range of experience and knowledge. Here are just some of the talented people we have working for us.

After completing an arts degree at Simon Fraser University, Myles decided to pursue his love of design and sewing. This included working at Fabricana and receiving a diploma in Fashion Design and Technology at Kwantlen University College. After many years with Fabricana (he started in 1995), Myles' duties now include purchasing and social media (Myles is our Facebook personality!) and anything else that needs his attention. Outside of his career, Myles enjoys a wide variety of textile-related activities including designing and sewing clothing, quilting, home décor sewing, and knitting. Other interests include music (singing and playing the piano) and working on his 100-year-old house with husband, Jay.

Dori’s design aesthetic and love for beautiful fabrics, natural finishes, and unique furniture have been influenced by several years of living away in Italy, France and Australia. The travelling began at an early age with sports teams, and continued on with the Canadian National Basketball team. After completing an Arts Degree and Diploma of Interior Design, working in the industry was a natural fit. Having been self employed as a design consultant, her attention to detail helps clients define their vision, and then translates this into the custom work that Fabricana Home provides.

Cassandra started at Fabricana in 2004 while working toward her Diploma in Fashion Design. Although she has loved sewing since she was 10, she quickly realized that having strict sewing deadlines made her hate sewing! After finishing her diploma she switched programs and graduated with a BBA in Entrepreneurial Leadership. Since graduating she is now involved in many areas of Fabricana including marketing, social media and website development. Cassandra likes to sew at a leisurely pace on projects such as easy-to-fit clothing pieces, baby gifts and would like to eventually try quilting.
